Our Story
Founded in 2022 in the heart of Ontario, Starks Cricket Club was built on a simple but powerful idea — that cricket is best enjoyed together. We brought together players from all walks of life, all corners of the world, united by their love for this beautiful game.
From weekend warriors to seasoned players, our club welcomes everyone. Whether you're stepping onto the pitch for the first time or you've been playing for decades, you belong here.
Based in Ontario (GTA), we play across the region, competing in local leagues and friendly matches. But above all, we are a family — diverse in background, united in spirit.
Meet the Captain

Harshmeet's love for cricket goes back to his childhood in India, where the game was woven into everyday life. Whether it was a street match or a proper ground, cricket was always his first calling. That lifelong passion is what drove him to found Starks Cricket Club — a place where every cricket enthusiast could belong.
His vision is simple but powerful: bring together people who love the game, regardless of where they're from or how well they play. Starks is his way of keeping that spark alive in a new country, and growing it into something the whole community can be proud of.
Now a proud Canadian citizen, Harshmeet lives in Ontario with his wife and their energetic 4-year-old son — who, by the look of things, may well be Starks' future star player. Off the pitch, Harshmeet channels the same energy and warmth into his career as a Realtor in Ontario with RE/MAX Excellence, where his love for meeting new people and building lasting relationships truly shines.
What Drives Us
Cricket is our passion. We play every match with the same enthusiasm — whether it's a fierce league game or a friendly fixture. The love of this sport is what brought us together and keeps us going.
Our roster reads like a world map. Players from South Asia, the Caribbean, Africa, the UK, and beyond call Starks home. Different cultures, one team. We celebrate what makes each of us unique.
Win or lose, we walk off the pitch together. Post-match gatherings, banter in the field, and shared memories — the friendships forged at Starks go far beyond cricket.
